One of my Top Tunes is I Surrender by Eddie Holman!

I’ve been playing it at home a lot, so it’s bound to feature in my sets this weekend. It was released in 1973 but I think it sounds older than that; it’s also a Northern Soul favourite!  Eddie Holman is probably best-known in the UK for Hey There, Lonely Girl, but I Surrender is a very different record – up-tempo, great to dance to, excellent horns and that distinctive high-pitched forlorn voice.
