About DJ Sue

DJ Sue at The Enterprise, Camden

DJ Sue is one of the busiest female DJs in London.  She has had a weekly residency at The Enterprise in Camden for over 5 years, along with regular slots at various other venues in the UK and Europe.  She now has a fortnightly show on Shoreditch Radio, where she plays an even wider range of music than the stuff she DJs with!  Sue has been DJing for over 20 years.

DJ Sue plays a mix of rock and roll, 60s pop/beat/psych/soul, Motown, Northern Soul, ska, reggae, Led Zep/Doors/Hendrix/Creedence etc, 70s punk, some indie and sometimes even dance, disco and beyond.  Much of this is on vinyl.

Sue’s passion for music came from her Dad.  He introduced her to everything from Stravinsky to Hendrix, and she still plays many of his original 50s and 60s 45s.  Another significant influence was the mighty John Peel.

Her musical tastes are reflected in the wide range of music she plays.  She is always on the lookout for records and is renowned for discovering different versions of classic tunes.
